Why I hate blogging

So I wasn’t really sure whether or not it would be appropriate to post a blog about why I hate blogging and never really do it, but then I thought, if it’s another blog post then surely that’s more appropriate than not doing one at all. And if I can’t achieve quantity, I might as well try and achieve quality. Also, it’s my blog so I should be able to blog about whatever I like – or more relevantly, don’t like.

‘Hate’ is quite a strong word, and I don’t fully hate blogging, I just don’t really like it. I considered making my title ‘Why I don’t like blogging’, but that is no way near as attention grabbing as ‘Why I hate blogging’ so that’s what I went with.

The reason I don’t like blogging is A) because I’m lazy and have no real interest in it, thus find it very hard to sit around and spend ages writing a blog post because just because I’ve been told to B) (this kind of furthers my last point), I don’t find it very beneficial for me personally as, if I’m being really honest, it’s all a load of bullshit anyway. I can’t say I’ve ever looked back on any of my previous blog posts once. If I were put on the spot right now, I probably couldn’t even remember what most of them were about, which is impressive as Ive barely got any posts anyway… (I can’t tell whether that says more about my memory than my dislike for blogging, but oh well). C) I find blogging really quite cringe (no offence intended to anyone who does like blogging). I know that there are plenty of blogs out there that don’t adhere to the stereotypical youtube age of vlogs and pointless blogs, but still, it’s a feeling I can’t quite shake. Furthermore, to me blogging always seems to be such a task that I never really enjoy doing – but that’s sort of the same as my first couple of points and also relate to naturally lazy nature (something in which I know I need to work on). Finally, D) this website is painfully slow.

I would like to blame my dislike for blogging on the fact that I have dyslexia, but realistically, that isn’t the case as I’ve never struggled with writing, or spelling beyond the norm, my dyslexia is more to do with reading and slow processing, and maths etc. Although I know it’s not actually to blame, it’s definitely still a good excuse for my complete lack of blog posts.

I’ve not got really much more to say on this topic and am getting quite bored of all this blogging, so that’s me done for another couple of weeks.
